Welcome Note

This is the repository for my collection of OLD PHOTOS FOUND, which I have not had time yet to research (about 370 of the entire collection of 971 is currently unresearched.) This will be a work-in-progress, and will take time to load all of the photos to this blog, so please keep checking back, or refer to the Master Index.

Not wanting to keep these faces hidden, I have decided to scan and post them here, and will eventually work them in to my first blog OLD PHOTOS FOUND where the fully researched images are displayed while family is sought.

Master Index at this link. (Includes names of all 971 photos, researched and unresearched.)

MITCHELL, Norman (unknown location)

Norman Mitchell

Identified as: NORMAN MITCHELL

Photographer: unknown location, circa 1910

Purchased: Dec 2023 Palm Beach County Fairgrounds Antiques Show

A common surname makes this difficult to research without a location clue. With luck, someone may recognize this handsome young man and claim him.

LIPPERT, Vivian C. (unknown location)

Vivian C. Lippert

Identified as: VIVIAN C. LIPPERT

Photographer: unknown location, circa 1918-1922

Purchased: Dec 2023 Palm Beach County Fairgrounds Antiques Show

This photo is made up as a postcard, so there is no studio name or location to act as a clue to who this may be. However, the cloche-like hat seems to indicate early 1920s, as does the style of coat. The side-button shoes would tend to indicate an earlier date, but may be second hand or hand-me-downs.

As this is a postcard, it bears a stamp box on the reverse which contains some timeframe clues in the form of the AZO code.

In the corners of the AZO stamp box, there are 4 triangles, all pointing upward. This configuration was known to have been used during the years 1904-1918.

More research to be done here.
