I suspect these girls may be part of a large Quast family which lived in nearby Janesville MN. But I am still researching this.

As you can see, the surname is not entirely legible. Could be Borkman, Bjorkman, Berkman, Burkmier, Buckner, etc.

Hairstyle and clothing point to 1925-1929.

The woman appears to be in perhaps her early 20's so this would indicate a birth year of around 1902 or so.

I have determined that "Axell Anderson" is a very common name among Swedish immigrants to the Midwest.  The photo was found in the same booth as other photos known to have come from Illinois, Iowa and Washington State.
