Nadler, John (possibly NY?)

JOHN NADLER

Identification on photo: John Nadler
Photo taken: unknown location, circa 1930
Purchased: 2015 August, Greenwich NY Antique Fair

Without having done much research yet, I believe this to be John Nadler (1867-1935), an Austrian immigrant who was the owner of a Grocery in Amsterdam NY.

UPDATE - identity is confirmed and John Nadler is heading home to his great-grandson.

Cainer, Walter (Los Angeles, CA)

WALTER CAINER

Identification on photo: Walter Cainer (or Caines)
Photograph Taken: J Fred Hartsook Studio, Los Angeles CA, 1908
Purchased: 2017 Wildwood Antique Mall, Wildwood FL

Inscription on back says:
"Merry Xmas to Aunt Elma & Uncle Conrad, Walter Cainer, 8 years 9 mo., 1908"

This would indicate a birth date of around Feb/Mar of 1900. The surname could be CAINES, but I really don't think so. The last letter of the surname does not match the last letter of the word "years."

Identification on photo: LeRoy David - 3 1/2 yrs
Photo taken: Metropolitan Photos, 3931 W. Madison St. Chicago IL, circa 1960?
Purchased: Dec 2019 South Florida Fairgrounds Antiques Show

It dawns upon me that "LeRoy David" could be a first and middle name, and not actually a first and surname. That could make the task a bit more difficult.

Ward, Jack and Katherine (Chicago IL)

JACK WARD and KATHERINE VIRGINIA WARD

Identification on Photo:  Jack Ward 2 1/2 years / Katherine Virginia age 7 mos.
Photographer: Warren F. Scott, 2242 Ashland Ave, Chicago IL, circa 1910

Inscriptions on the front read:

"A joyful Easter is the wish of Jack"

"This is my first Easter Greeting to Aunt and Uncle Moody. Katherine Virginia, aged 7 months."

With just a brief attempt at researching these two, I believe them to be the children of John W. Ward (b.1880) and Catherine Ward (b. 1881), who's son John T. Ward (often nicknamed "Jack") was born in 1906, and daughter Katherine V. Ward was born in 1909. They appear on the 1910 Federal Census for Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

Ogsbury couple from Duanesburg NY

Identification on photo: Mr & Mrs OGSBURY (Duanesburg, Schenectady, NY)
Photographer: unknown, tintype
Purchased: 2018 Aug Glenwood Manor Antiques, Queensbury NY

Olcott, Aunt Lucy

Identification of photo: AUNT LUCY OLCOTT (or Olcutt)
Photographer: unknown photographer, unknown location, circa 1890
Purchased: no record kept, but I believe it may have been in Upstate NY 2015

The back has hand-written note in pencil identifying the subject as either "Aunt Lucy Olcott" or possibly "Olcutt".

Also, at the very botton on the back is a handwritten name in ink that appears to say "Ida M. Bell" but I do not know if this is the niece of Aunt Lucy, or someone else the photo was destined for. Or I suppose, it could even be the name of the Antiques booth owner.
